Focused light energy removes harmful germs and bacteria from deep within the gum pockets, directly removing the source of the infection. This is paired with ultrasonic cleaning to break down hard buildup around the roots of the teeth. Our laser is so gentle that most patients describe barely feeling anything in the chair. Even better, because it cauterizes and sterilizes as it works, this accelerates the healing process and helps your gums form a fresh, strong bond with your teeth.

Bone Grafting

Before a patient can receive dental implants, it’s important to confirm that their jaw is strong and thick enough to support the new teeth. If this isn’t the case (because the bone naturally shrinks and weakens after tooth loss), a bone graft can provide the necessary support. It’s a minor surgery, usually completed in a single appointment, that involves placing a grafting material to stimulate bone growth where the implant will be located. After a 4–6-month healing period, the patient will be ready for their placement surgery.

Gum Grafting

One of the most common symptoms of gum disease is recession, in which the soft tissues pull away from the teeth because bacteria have broken down the bonds. This cannot only affect someone’s appearance (causing the teeth to look overly long) but also increase their risk of tooth decay and further infection. A gum graft reverses this process, using donated tissue from a patient’s own mouth to restore the original position of the tissue. It halts recession while reestablishing support for the teeth, giving someone a more balanced, symmetrical smile.
