Children’s Dental Checkups & Teeth Cleanings
Routine preventive care is especially important for children because the enamel doesn’t fully harden until age 14, and children aren’t exactly known for their brushing ability, both of which make them particularly vulnerable to cavities. Dental Sealants
A dental sealant is like a shield we place over the teeth to keep them protected from the harmful effect of acids, soda, and sugar. We typically only use sealants on the back teeth because they are the hardest to brush and the grooves are deep and easily trap plaque and food debris. This can cause quite a bit of pain, but with pulp therapy, our team can fix the problem, provide complete relief, and save the tooth in the process. For this procedure, Our team simply numbs the affected tooth, cleans the decay and through that hole accesses and removes the injured pulp. A medicated filling is placed inside and the tooth gets sealed with a tooth-colored filling.
