In certain cases, veneers can also be placed with no drilling and no shots. Lumineers are a brand of veneers that can be done in such a way as to allow them to be very thin about 0.3mm. No-prep Lumineers are not for everyone. Please be aware that only small percentage of patients has teeth that allow veneers to be placed without drilling. Good candidates for non-prep Lumineers are people that want to cover space between their teeth and want their teeth to look bigger and more forward or bulky.
Be aware of dentist who might try to convince you that everyone can have veneers without drilling. Veneers can be placed on anyone in such a way, but the aesthetic & function will suffer. For example teeth are too bulky, and too white with little translucency and no vitality. Most teeth require some drilling on the front surface in order to create the good cosmetic and functional results. We work together with our patients to build smiles that are white and beautiful, while still look natural. The ideal aesthetic results should make your friends commenting your great look, not your new veneers. We work with our patients to determine the ideal smile for them, the one that is cosmetically pleasing, functionally sound and biologically healthy.
Care for Your Porcelain Veneers
There is no special maintenance required for your porcelain veneers beside your dental check-ups and good daily brushing, and flossing. As long as you keep up with regular dental visits, we guarantee our veneers for five years. Dental porcelain does not stain and there is no need to worry about your veneers changing color.
If you grind your teeth at night, we recommend a mouth guard for you to protect your veneers and remaining natural teeth. Tooth grinding causes premature wear and tear.

Cosmetic bonding is procedure where paste-like material is applied to the tooth in desired shape.
The most common cosmetic procedure done with composite is the repair of chipped front teeth.
Cosmetic repairs of the front teeth using tooth colored bonding can usually be done without shots and with a minimal or no drilling
Bonding is filling of choice if non drill, Air Abrasion procedure, is used to remove the decay. ( Read more about air abrasion )
The process
This involves etching of the outer layer with a gel, than an adhesive agent (glue) is applied. After that we choose paste-like composite resin material matching your teeth color and sculpt them permanently in the desired shape. This procedure is complete in one visit.
Tooth colored filling can be made from porcelain and they are called porcelain inlays and onlays. They are used when the amount of tooth to be restored is too large for a conventional composite filling. Porcelain fillings are good choice for back teeth and required less tooth reduction compare to metal fillings or crowns.
Porcelain compare to amalgam (metal filling): Porcelain is more esthetic and safe. Mercury in the amalgam causes expansion and contraction. As a result large amalgam filling is a reason for tooth cracks.
Porcelain compare to composite (cosmetic bonding): Porcelain is more durable and color stable.

Tooth whitening
Do you wish you had whiter teeth? Thanks to new materials and technology now you CAN.A natural-looking, bright smile can be yours with simple procedure, and a little help from us! Universally valued by men and women alike, whitening (or bleaching) treatments are available for every budget and time frame. There are three major teeth whitening options available today - in office whitening, take home whitening, over the counter products. No anesthetic is required, and no tooth is lost or damaged. We will check the condition of your teeth through exam and x-rays and determine which one applies to your unique situation.
In office teeth whitening
Best benefit is significant color change in a short period of time. The first step is to isolate the teeth and protect the gums and lips. Then a safe tooth bleaching gel of peroxide is applied and the bleaching process is activated. This process releases oxygen that lightens discolorations without harming tooth structure, removing even years-old stains. Best of all, the results from the in office teeth whitening system are immediately noticeable, so you'll leave after your appointment with 6-8 shades whiter teeth. Depending on the staining on the teeth, the process can be repeated two more times or continued with a home-use whitening system.
Take-home whitening
If you can allow more time for your whitening process then you have another option - home whitening. My experience shows that this system produces better results in long term - being gradually bleached your teeth can reach maximum whitening with less to no discomfort. This is also a better investment for your dollars because you can use it for touch ups every 4-6 months.
The procedure involves impressions from all of your teeth from which custom trays are fabricate - one for the upper and one for the lower. Gel with different concentration of peroxide, but higher than the one you can buy over the counter, is loaded inside and the tray are worn 1- 4 hour. The whole process takes 7 to 10 days and can be repeated in 4 months.
Over the counter
There are strips, apply on liquids, whitening tooth pastes. Being over the counter products none of them exceed 14% peroxide, which makes them less effective. The most popular are probably Crest White strips. Carefully follow the instructions; the gel is strong enough to burn your gum tissue.

Dental implants and implant restorations
Dental Implants are an excellent way to replace missing teeth. Implants restorations are permanent. They allow us more conservative, not shaving adjacent teeth, approach. They are also great anchor for full and partial denture when more stability is needed. Implants are titanium "tooth roots" that are planted in the bone. Once the implant has fused to the bone and the process of healing is completed (between two to five months), a beautiful, artificial tooth made of porcelain is attached to the implant abutment. Dr. Dara can make your implant-supported crown appear just like your natural tooth, restoring your smile to its natural beauty. Results are great - incredible aesthetic, healthy smile, comfort, good chewing ability. With proper oral hygiene implants can last lifetime.back to top
